11/22/2005 8:31:00 AM PST -- Kevin

The following warning appears in the event log of the server which is running Navision Database Server Service:

The program failed to publish Navision Database Server Service Connection Point in Active Directory.

In order for Navision Database Server to publish a Service Connection Point, the Active Directory Schema on the network domain controller must be extended. Contact your network administrator for information.

Use the SchemaXt Tool that is located on the Installation CD to add this support to Active Directory.

Note: Navision Database Server will function without a Service Connection Point. Clients will, however, not be able to list servers on the network.

For more information, see Help and Support Center athttp://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Hi Kevin,

You can ignore the error. The problem does not affect the operation of the Navision server. The SchemaXt Tool currently has a problem that has been reported to development.
