The solution to the problem is to install these redistributables from Microsoft:http://download.jetreports.com/Utility/vcredist_x86.exe The source of the problem is that Microsoft has apparently written C/Front 5.0 in Visual C 8 instead of Visual C 7.1 as they had previously. That would be no problem except for the fact that they did not modify their installer to account for the change so the Visual C 7.1 redistributables are still in the installation package. MS SQL2005 and a few other applications install the version 8 DLLs so that is why some machines work fine and some don't. |
