Getting an error message saying "This field cannot be empty, please enter a value" while automatically updating taxes using the Payroll Periodic Update function. This most commonly happens in Navision version 3.7 and 4.0. The solution is to update your dataport with additional fields on two table lines. 1. Go to Dataport 14020010 and Design 2. On Payroll Calculation Method Line, go to View, Dataport Fields 3. Notice that Activation Code is missing Add it and import your pay controls from Periodic Activities 4. Add the Activation Code as a field in the dataport to the Bracket Details line |
