The Event log application logs the Event 1026, .NET Runtime, which indicates the crash is the result of Excel component.

This crashes is due to the incompatibility issue between Dynamics NAV addin for Excel application

To remove Dynamics NAV addin in Excel application: 
1. go to File\Options in Excel.
2. In Excel Options window, go to Add-ins tab; select COM add-ins and click on Go.

3. Untick the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Add-in and click OK.
