Here’s an overview of what’s new or changed in the latest version of ODT Service, including solution revisions. 

 

If you self-manage updates, you should run the app update from your Business Central Admin Center. If you’re on the Update Protection Plan, this update will be applied for you.

New features & enhancements

New features and enhancements included in this release are: 

  • Enhancement of the Field Ticket Quote with improvements such as automatic status changes, the ability to lock Field Ticket Quotes, and an improved Field Ticket Role Center.
  • Addition of a Visual Scheduler for Field Tickets that will allow you to assign Field Tickets to technicians using a drag and drop interface.
  • Attachments and pictures can now be viewed in completed Service documents, including Service Tickets, Planned Maintenance Tickets, and Field Tickets 
  • Added the Service Unit Description field to Service Unit Meter Worksheet
  • The Work Description field has been added to more documents including quotes and completed tickets for Service, Planned Maintenance, and Field Service.
  • Header status automatically changes when line is updated from Released to another status type.
  • Updated the Docusign setup to allow the use of a specified sharepoint site that will be used instead of the default sharepoint folder.

  

Solution revisions

Solution revisions included in this release are: 

  • When creating a ticket using the Service Ticket Create Wizard, the ticket number and the ticket description will use the number series specified in Service Management Setup.
  • When creating and RMA with a disallowed amount, the RMA can be posted without an error occurring.
  • Creating an RMA from a completed ticket can be done after the invoice has been posted.
  • Renaming a Service Unit will maintain unit history and document attachments
  • When the Docusign connector is disconnected an error message will be displayed on tickets notifying the disconnection and how documents cannot be sent for signing until it is resolved


Known behavior - Pending revision

  • When printing a checklist fields with a type of Option are not being printed
