Here’s an overview of what’s new or changed in the latest version of ODT Service, including solution revisions. 

 

If you self-manage updates, you should run the app update from your Business Central Admin Center. If you’re on the Update Protection Plan, this update will be applied for you.

New features & enhancements

New features and enhancements included in this release are: 

  • Addition of a Maintenance Vendor filter to the Planned Maintenance Worksheet
  • Bidirectional updating between Service Tickets and Visual Resource Scheduler. Changes to a Service item in one location will now be reflected in the other.
  • Added a Responsibility Center field to the Field Service Project header, which will flow to created Field Tickets.
  • Addition of technician notes to Completed Field Tickets
  • Added a link to view Posted Field Tickets, which can be found in the Ticket tab of a Field Service Project
  • Reports for Field Ticket and Posted Field Ticket are now available in Service Report Selection

  

Solution revisions

Solution revisions included in this release are: 

  • When selecting a customer on a Field Service Project from the Customer No. field, the correct description is now shown.
  • When creating a new Field Ticket, lines cannot be added until a Field Service Project No. has been selected.
  • When creating a new Field Ticket, the Field Ticket No. Series field will only show when Manual No. is set to OFF.
  • When changing status on a Service Ticket Line the header status will now update based on the status of all Service Ticket Lines
  • When running Apply Maintenance Expense, no maintenance expense will be posted if an error message occurs
  • When Work Type Code is updated on a Service Template, only Resource lines will be updated.
  • When a Resource with a Work Type Code is added to a Field Ticket or Service Template, the price will be calculated based on the selected Work Type Code
  • When creating a new Field Ticket, the Copy From Job Plan function can be selected
  • When a new Field Ticket is created, it cannot be assigned to a Completed Field Ticket
  • When changing the Serial No. field on a Service Unit linked to a Fixed Asset, the Serial No. can be changed without an error.
