CustomerSource is a password-protected site for customers using Microsoft Dynamics and related business products, provided as a benefit of a service plan. Use it to search the knowledgebase, download updates, view online training and find other information resources virtually 24 hours a day. (Log in required.)
If your organization is new to Dynamics, your administrator will receive and invitation to associate via their Microsoft or Organizational account. The email with instructions to complete this task will be emailed by Microsoft and is very important to follow the steps carefully. To clarify the login options:
- Organizational Account: Is a Microsoft Work Account provided by your employer or school to use Microsoft Online services including Office 365 (Not home edition!) and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions such as Business Central, Sales, Marketing, Talent etc. Contact your organization account administrator if you are unsure of what this is. Your account will be an email address with your organizations email domain or a onmicrosoft.com domain. For example, yourname@companydomain.com or yourname@companytenant.onmicrosoft.com
- Microsoft Account: If using Dynamics OnPremise and not using business Office 365 you would sign in with a personal Microsoft account you use for OneDrive, Xbox LIVE, Outlook.com, Hotmail or other related Microsoft service. If you do not have a personal Microsoft account you can obtain one by visiting https://account.microsoft.com If you already have a Microsoft account, proceed with the instructions sent. In summary, the next step to associate is:
For a first-time CustomerSource user, you must link your CustomerSource profile with your Organization or Microsoft account. After your CustomerSource administrator adds you as a professional with the organization a system generated email will be sent to you from the email address of voice@microsoft.com. You must then use the related link provided to associate the user's Organizational/Microsoft account with your CustomerSource Account.
**Important** It is important to ensure that you open your browser of choice in-private/incognito to ensure that you do not accidently try to associate with an unexpected account you may already be logged in with. We encourage you to sign out of all accounts, close your browser and relaunch Explorer in-private to complete the step to associate by copying the unique url and pasting in a tab and then completing this step. Once successfully associated, you can use the browser of your choice and remember your login. For information on how to open a browser in this mode see the article How to Open Browser InPrivate or Incognito
